Examen Philosophicum & Examen Facultatum

This programme is a two-part foundation programme. Each part may be completed independently. It is a preparatory programme, and should therefore be taken at an early point in a student’s studies. It provides an introduction to theoretical, practical and ethical issues that are relevant for various academic disciplines and activities. Through this programme students will develop the ability to approach academic and theoretical topics in an independent and systematic way. These two programmes are usually obligatory for completion of Bachelor’s degree programmes at university colleges and universities.

Examen Philosophicum is usually taught in the autumn semester, and Examen Facultatum in the spring semester; both may be studied together with other programmes. The programmes are usually taught once or twice a week in the afternoons, and are thus also suitable for part-time students.
