Electric Drive Modelling
Modelling and simulation of different electric drive systems.
Electric drives are nowadays used almost everywhere., although not always obvious. But with more electric drive applications in place the probability of failure also increase. Being able to see what impact such a failure due to a electrical fault in the system gives a great benefit during the design of new systems or the analysis of existing, possibly faulty, systems.
We are using Modelica® as modelling language since it allows the combination of components from different physical domains into one simulation model. Furthermore are we involved in a partnership with Modelon AB to further develop the SPOT library. SPOT is a Modelica® package providing components to model power systems both in transient and steady-state mode.
