Research activities within education (pre-school and general education teaching) at Telemark University College (TUC) focuses on the following topics:

• Learning Environment and teaching processes in kindergartens and elementary schools
• Professional knowledge and skills

Within the field of pedagogy there are several projects focusing on practical training in schools and kindergartens.

Other current projects at TUC focus on the curriculum and the content of professional education programmes and the challenges of the teacher's role in schools and kindergartens.
