1,2,3 - checklist for new students
This is a check-list for what you need to do during your first days on campus:
Please note that if you are a new international student, some of the registration procedures may be modified or different. International students will be given all necessary information in special information sessions during their first days on campus.
All other student must follow these proceudres:
1. Make sure that you get access to TUC's electronic services: StudentWeb, Fronter and e-mail.
You will need:
- User name - which is identical with your student ID number. You should have received an e-mail
- Password - which you create yourself according to our general guidelines
- Register your mobile phone number so that y ou may receive important information as a text message
2. Register for the fall semester in our StudentWeb registration system (accept your Individual Education Plan and pay registration fee). If you depend upon a loan from the Statens Lånekasse (the Norwegian Student Loan Board) - for instance if you are a Quota Scheme student - your loan will not be transferred to your account till you have completed your StudentWeb procedures. Unfortunately the StudentWeb system is only available in English. Information will be given to international students during Introduction week on how to use the StudentWeb system.
Please note: To register in StudentWeb, an official Norwegian ID number is required. International students arriving for the first time in Norway will as part of the start-up programme be given a temporary StudentWeb registration number which they can use while awaiting their official ID number. They will be assisted by the administration staff, and also guided on how to apply for the Norwegian ID number.
3. Check your Individual Education Plan og which courses you are to follow.
4. Check your class schedule.
