Application deadlines

The application deadlines for incoming exchange students are:

  • Nordic and European exchange students from partner institutions:

1st of May the same year- For the autumn semester (August-December)

1st of November the year before- For the spring semester (January-June)

  • Exchange students from partner institutions outside of Europe:

1st of March the same year- For the autumn semester (August-December)

1st of October the year before- For the spring semester (January-June)

The exchange programmes at TUC are not open for free movers. Freemovers may apply for the full degree programmes taught in English. Please see

How to apply

Interested students will have to apply through their home university. Please contact your international office/mobility office.

Your institution will then contact the relevant departmental coordinator to receive an application form and more information about the application process.

The programmes will accept students who meet the requirements for exchange students, as long as there are still places left in the programme.


Please send your supporting documents by post within 1-2 weeks after sumbitting your electronic application.

Explanation of the different documents you need to send:

List of subjects (Learning agreement) is a list of the courses you wish to take in Telemark University College. The list of subjects/learning agreement must be accepted by both the home and host institutions.

Transcript of records is a list of subjects you have taken in your previous education, the number of credits and the grade. The transcript of records should be in English and should be signed, stamped and dated.

A copy of the photo page in your passport. This is the page where your name and nationality is listed. We will use this to make sure that your name will be spelled correctly.
