Digital Images & Visual Communication

Knowledge and use of visual communication is a necessary requirement in many fields, and basic skills in the subject area have become necessary in communicative as well as visual and creative subjects.

This specialisation study programme focuses mainly on digital image creation. ICT is used as an aid to collect information, as a tool in communication and creative processes and as an independent means of expression. Key topics are print/graphics and screen presentation/internet, in which 3D modelling, sound and video editing are illustrated through practical work and theory. Research and development work also form part of the programme.

Career opportunities/Further studies

The study programme is primarily studied as a third-year specialisation course in BA Subject Teacher: Education in the Arts, or BA Visual Art & Design, or in the fourth year in BA Subject Teacher: Practical & Arts Subjects. However, it may also be studied as an independent specialisation study programme.
