BA Business Administration

The Bachelor’s degree programme in Business Administration will provide students with knowledge and understanding of principal economic and administrative areas, insight into new economic developments, key policy issues, environmental protection and ethics.

It qualifies students to perform administrative functions within the financial and administrative field in the private or public sector. This is accomplished by facilitating problem-based learning and through the active use of ICT.

Key words for the first two years: Business, micro-and macroeconomics; marketing and information technology; mathematics; financial accounting analysis; business law; organisation subjects; statistics, investment and financing, macroeconomic theory and policy; international / public finance; operations, accounting and budgeting; social science methods and business strategy.
In the third year, students may choose from among:

  • Tourism Studies
  • International Marketing Studies
  • Innovation & Entrepreneurship Studies
  • Certified Accountancy
  • Computer Science
  • Further studies / profiling in business administration

The study programme follows the "The curriculum for the three-year Bachelor's degree programme in Economic and Administrative Studies", adopted by the National Council for Economic and Administrative Studies (NRØA) and recommended as a common framework for Bachelor's degrees in economic and administrative studies.

The curriculum ensures a high academic level and a uniform structure in the economic and administrative studies programmes.

 
Career opportunities/Further studies

The programme is interdisciplinary and vocational, and provides a good starting point for employment in the public and private sectors. It provides qualification for admission to master’s degree programmes at university colleges and universities in Norway and abroad.
