NorskScandinavian Studies in Telemark Fall Semester

This programme is available in the autumn term and is aimed at foreign students who wish to study in English at a higher academic level.
The curriculum may vary according to availability and to the wishes of the applicants, but may include the following courses:
- Telemark I: Regional Identity
- Norwegian Language (three levels)
- Eco-Philosophy
- The Individual, Environs and Society
- Modern Norwegian Literature: Film and Fiction
- Norwegian Literature before 1900 (in Norwegian)
- Independent Study
Teaching and learning methods:
Lectures, seminars, group work and submissions. Obligatory study trips. Instruction is in English.
Career opportunities/Further studies
For the majority of students, this programme is an approved exchange semester from their studies in their home countries.
