BSc Electric Power Engineering, bachelor

This programme provides a broad introduction to the key topics associated with electric power, such as measuring, regulation and control electronics, computer-aided design (CAD), programmable logic controller (PLC), electrical machines and electrical plants, alternating current and high-tension technology. Students will learn how other forms of energy are converted to electrical energy, transported and used. In their project work, students will learn problem solving and structured work methods, and how to use electric power technology to solve industrial problems.

 
Career opportunities/Further studies

Qualified electric power engineers may seek positions in companies and organisations that use and supply electrical equipment. These may include energy suppliers, the electronics industry and their suppliers. Successful candidates may apply for admission to the Masters in Systems & Control Engineering at Telemark University College or at other university colleges and universities in Norway or abroad.
