Students will achieve considerable competence as guides in their choice of outdoor activities and in winter outdoor activities, and gain a foundation for reflection concerning attitudes and experiences associated with outdoor activities, society, culture and nature. The study programme consists of a considerable amount of outdoors tuition in the form of outings with a guide as well as solo outings.

The study programme corresponds to the third year of the Bachelor’s degree programme, Outdoors, Culture and Nature Guiding.
Employment may be found in guiding and other forms of activity in association with outdoor life; culture and nature in schools; voluntary organisations; the public sector; health, rehabilitation, social work; and tourism. The study programme may also form part of a Bachelor’s degree. The study programme also qualifies graduates for admission to the university college’s Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sport and Outdoor Life Studies.
