Sport Management II

This is an interdisciplinary and vocational programme that qualifies students for administrative responsibilities and management roles within the field of sport

Theory is illustrated through practical exercises and practical experience. The programme will provide students with insight into how to organise and administer sports and outdoor activities, experience in planning and implementing sports arrangements and an introduction to sports policy themes.

The study programme corresponds to the second year of the Bachelor’s degree programme, Sports Science, with specialisation in administration and management.

 
Career opportunities/Further studies

This programme qualifies graduates to administer and lead projects and processes associated with sport and outdoor activities in institutions, businesses and voluntary organisations at the local, regional and national levels. In combination with other programmes, the programme may provide qualification for employment in the public sector, the Norwegian Sports Association and similar organisations, voluntary organisations, the health sector, rehabilitation, tourism, projects and self employment in business or training activities etc. The programme qualifies graduates for admission to Sport Management 3.
