NorskBA Pre-School Teacher Education, Web-Based
The study programme includes pedagogy and teaching practice in kindergartens each year. The nine other subjects are spread over six semesters, with an optional 30 ECTS credits of specialised courses in the last year of study. The programme provides supervised teaching practice in kindergarten, and the teaching practice amounts to 20 weeks spread over three years. Inter-disciplinary courses provide comprehensive occupational training. Theme for the 1st year of programme: The Child, the Pre-School Teacher and the Kindergarten as a Social Institution; theme for the 2nd year of the programme: Play, Learning and Social Interaction; theme for the 3rd year of the programme: The Pedagogical Leader and the “Well-Functioning Kindergarten”.
The programme qualifies successful candidates to teach in kindergartens. The degree also provides eligibility for enrolment on Master’s degree programmes. Please contact Telemark University College for more information.
