NorskArts and Crafts
The study programme provides students with skills in teaching arts and crafts in kindergartens, and reinforces the development of the student’s own arts and crafts skills. Students will work with a wide range of materials and techniques.
The programme will also include the use of ICT as a tool for creative work with children and will emphasise documentation and subject didactics.
The study programme is intended primarily for:
- Students enrolled on the 3-year pre-school teacher education programme with 10 ECTS credits in arts and crafts.
- Students taking a post-graduate programme for pre-school teachers. The objective of the study programme is to further equip students for pedagogical work with children in pre-school, primary school (grades 1-4), after-school programmes, culture schools and art institutions that work with children.
Career opportunities/Further studies
- Art and Handicrafts I or 2 (30 ECTS)
- With Art and Handicrafts I or 2 the student will possess the academic foundation for admission to the Master’s programme in Art & Design Education (120 ECTS)
- With Art and Handicrafts I or 2 the student will possess the academic foundation for admission to a broad range of specialisation study programmes in arts and crafts
