Academic calendar

The year is divided into two semesters, Autumn and Spring semesters. They are approximately 17 weeks including an orientation week, an autumn or spring break and a final week of examinations. The autumn semester begins in week 34. The spring semester usually begins the second week in January and finishes in week 25.

Final exams are held in December and May/June. Holidays such as Christmas, Easter week, Whit Monday and Ascension day. In addition the New Year's Day, the International Worker's Day and the Constitution Day (May 17th) are holidays.
