Centre for cultural and sports studies

The Centre for cultural and sports studies is a research centre established at Telemark University College in cooperation with Telemark Research - Bø.

The Centre aims to promote high-level research in the fields of culture and sports, based on the combined research competence of the two institutions.

Researchers affiliated with the Centre have specialized in cultural policies, cultural economics, the social organization of the cultural sector, sports policies, sports facilities and the social organization of the sports sector, and related subjects.

Telemark University College and Telemark Research - Bø are home to a long-established national and international research group dealing particularly with cultural and sports-related issues. The Centre has been established to profile, consolidate and develop these local research activities.
