BA Accountancy
Students will be given an introduction to financial policies, socio-economic planning and the background for the regulation of trade and business.
They will learn the principles of leadership and organisation, quality control and communication.
The certified accountant’s most important task is auditing the annual accounts of companies (accountant’s report), and ensuring that this in accordance with accounting and tax laws. Other tasks may include giving advice on accounting, tax issues and accounting analysis, as well as various consultancy tasks. Employment may be found in finances and administration in the public and private sectors.
To become a certified accountant (on successful completion of this programme), 3 years’ relevant work experience and a passing grade in a practical examination are required.
This programme fulfils the requirements for entrance to the Master’s degree programme in Accountancy (State Authorised Accountant) at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.
