Taking Norwegian society as a starting point, the programme examines the relations between various cultures and societies. The main focus will be on how cultural and historical variations in culture and society influence social relations. The practical subjects taught during the autumn semester are orienteering, games, basic sports activities, didactics, outdoor teaching and outdoor life. During the winter/spring semesters the following subjects will be taught: ski games, snowboard, alpine skiing, Telemark skiing, cross-country skiing and skating, as well as winter outdoor life and didactics. The study programme is taught in English.
The study programme may be included as part of a European Bachelor’s degree. It may also be used as the third or fourth year of study of a teacher-education study programme, or as a specialised or further educational programme for qualified teachers.
